Tom Hill records highest break of the season but Donington return to top of Boston Snooker League

Donington 1 returned to the top of the Boston Snooker Centre Super League table following an 8-0 thrashing of BSC 2.

Graham Cripsey, Sean Swinburn, Craig Fitter and Stuart Atkin did the damage.

Shodfriars 20 slipped to second, albeit with a game in hand, after a frustrating 5-3 win over BSC 11.

Tom Hill gave Shods the lead with the new highest break of the season, 89.

Brian Cox doubled the lead and Darren Christian drew with Josh Fell, Luke Arons winning for BSC.

Cons 6 thumped bottom of the table BSC 8 7-1 with wins for Chris Spencer, Neil Reynolds and mat Turner as Ben Wrigglesworth drew with Gary Dunmore.

BSC 10 left BSC 3 with a solid 5-3 win. Dan Burt and Rick Ladds won their games and Andy Swan and Mario Richards shared. Neil Dowlman pulled two back.

In the Launchburys Premier League, Cons 7 extended their lead at the top of the table to 10 points thanks to a 6-2 victory over Cons 5.

Alan Haycock and Dean Simmons shared the opening frames, before Jamie Simmons gave and Charlie Rolfe picked up victories and Derek Wood and Paul Tether shared.

BSC 16 left Kirton 5 with a 5-3 victory, Brett Skinner and Mick Marshall victorious as Danny Orton and Stan Matthews split. Andy Bush pulled two frames back.

Cons 3 leapt up the table thanks to an 8-0 demolition of Shods 3. Carl Stanney, Graham Johnson, Paddy Kearns and Peter Epton claimed the win.

Cons 2 got a much-needed win as they beat BSC 12 5-3. Dale Sawer and Dave Whyler put Cons 2-0 up before Alan Laws reduced the deficit and Des Snell and Graham Day shared.

In the Johnson Motor Car Sales Division One, BSC 9 put a dent in BSC 7’s promotion hopes as they beat them 5-3. Gav Halgarth and Nathan Cock made it 4-0 before Chris Hirst pulled two back. Paul Creasey and Callum Simmons split.

BSC 15 defeated bottom of the league BSC 18 6-2 this week. Dave Cartwright and Stu Richardson made it 4-0 before Stu Holland and Reece Warsop split, as did Ian Russell and Tyler Wallace.

Graves Park travelled to BSC 6 and came away with a 5-3 win. Alan Traynor and Ged Hall shared the opening frames, as did Andy Bird and John Hodgson. Steve Sharp gave Graves Park the lead before Mike Deal and Martin Hodgson shared the final frames.
