Triumple jump success for BADAC's Louise Hirst

Two members of Boston and District Athletic Club competed in field events at the Northern Counties under 17 Track and Field Championships at Hull.

Gold Tops Louise Hirst and Georgia Ward are both in their first year competing in this age category.

Hirst won the under 17 women’s triple jump regional title, recording a best jump of 10.72m,a 23cm advantage over the runner-up.

Ward competed in the hammer, achieving a personal best distance of 24.63m to finish in ninth position.

Ward then recorded 8.21m in the shot putt to secure 11th place.

Both BADAC athletes will now be challenging for awards at the Lincolnshire County Championships.
