Win number two for the Hardy and Burt team
The Hardy and Burt team claimed first place in a weather-affected pigeon race.
A close study of the forecast was required to find a slot between storms for the weekend’s event, which was delayed 24 hours until Sunday.
The race was then re-scheduled to the 100 miles from Whitby rather than the planned 160 miles from Whitley Bay.

After a 6am release, the birds faced a strong south, south-west wind and the partnership of Hardy and Burt recorded their second win of the season in the Boston and District Flying Club.
