Pair of team wins for Ranby

RANBY House and Valley School were celebrating at the Bassetlaw Schools Cross Country Championships last week.

Both schools picked up a pair of team wins, as over 250 school children battled it out at Retford Rugby Club on Friday.

Ranby’s Mia Main won the Y7s girls race, Phillipa Wilson came home first in the Y8-9 girls event and Oliver Dane won the Y8-9 boys competition.

Their success, and other top finishes by their team-mates gave Ranby House team victories in the Y7 girls (pictured left) and Y7 boys sections.

Valley were the school with the most points in the Y8-9 girls and boys races.

Worksop College won the Y10-11 girls event, while Elizabethan’s Y10-11 boys team were victorious.
