Paula Jacklin exits BDO World Championship

Gainsborough's Paula Jacklin bowed out of the BDO women's world darts championship after she was comfortably beaten by second seed Aileen De Graaf.

Jacklin took to the Lakeside stage in her third attempt at World Championship glory, but once again failed to get past the round of 16 stage.

De Graaf took every leg as she saw off the experienced Jacklin in convincing fashion, repeating the 2-0 drubbing she handed out to Jacklin on her Lakeside debut.

Her Dutch opponent made light work of the opening set, dispatching Jacklin 3-0 with relative ease.

Some slack doubling from Jacklin allowed De Graaf to open up a two leg advantage.

The set was then be tied up as De Graaf nailed a sublime 100 checkout for the lead.

The 27-year-old from the Netherlands continued with her momentum and claimed the first leg of the second set.

Jacklin failed to find a ton plus score as De Graaf hit an 18-dart leg to double her advantage in the second set.

The whitewash was completed in convincing fashion, with a first maximum from De Graaf setting her on her way.
