The Boston senior teams continue to contest the Lincolnshire Senior Doubles Winter League.

There was disappointment for the Men’s Firsts, competing in Division One, in the fixture away at Louth as Ray Frankish, John Gibson, James Newton and Jeremy George-Jones drew two of the rubbers, narrowly missing out 4-6 in the other sets to lose 2-6 overall.

For the Ladies’ Seconds, competing in Division One, Jane Hindmarch, Claire Smith, Catherine Ellis and Helen Duckett halved three of the rubbers at Grantham but failed to get one more set to force a drawn result.

In the Lincolnshire Mini Leagues there was a win for Orange A team and a loss for the Orange B team.

The Orange B team played a strong Grantham team and missed out 0-3 but produced some good attacking play.

Boston A team played Grimsby’s St James and produced a 3-0 win.
