Hide AdHawks then opened the second period with two unanswered threes and the lead was quickly out to 12 points.
Worksop adjusted their defence and reduced the three-point threat, but Hawks were just as accurate from inside the arc and they stretched their lead to 34-18 by half-time.
Steve Lawes’ men struggled all night with fumbles, mis-placed passes and missed shots but they did managed to win the third period to go in to the final break at 33-48.
However, Worksop failed to make any further impression in the final period, with Hawks remaining in complete control as Worksop’s shooting woes continued.

“There won’t be any easy games this season.”
