RACELINE: TIP OF THE DAY
The first highlight of two days of cracking eight-race cards at the Berkshire track is this long-established contest for promising two-year-olds. It should go to Richard Hannon’s handsome, scopy colt, who is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in the stable. He’s found no luck in running on both of his starts so far -- a hot maiden at Goodwood, which was won by a Group-class colt, and a similar event at York where jockey Richard Hughes extricated his mount from trouble just in time to win by half a length. Hughes is on board again today when the step-up to 1m is expected to suit ideally.
THURSDAY: SIGNOR SASSI WON 2/1
