With approximately 40 jumps to tackle, two water splashes, camouflage netting to squeeze under, lung busting hills and even a couple of waist-deep water wades this was a tough course.

There was a one-lap and two-lap option and Melanie opted for the 10-mile two-lap event, finishing in 1:50-17, the seventh lady.

The Cleethorpes Promenade 5k saw six members compete.

Stuart Cragg clocked 17-39 to finish as first veteran and take seventh place overall.

Mark Simons ran well to finish in 21-46, only about 45 seconds outside of his personal best.

Helen Blair took 1 min 48 secs off her best time for a finish of 22-10.
