Riding Winner IV, an eight-year-old mare owned by Louise’s father, Michael Saywell and Ian Vatidis, the 21-year-old finished behind Dutch riders Aniek Poels and Wouter Vos.

“I was really pleased with how she jumped as it was a pretty big track,” said Saywell.

“She’s still relatively young and this was only her second Grand Prix so to pick up a third place is just brilliant. I’m staying in Holland for a while now, heading to Roosendaal for another competition before moving on to Mechelen, which means I will be away for Christmas and New Year.”

Saywell has been based with Dutch international show jumper Vincent Voorn for the last two years.
