Seven local swimmers in long distance action
Retford Swimming Club had a squad of seven youngsters in action at a long distance event in Derby last weekend.
The local swimmers were involved in the Long Eaton Distance Meet, at Queen’s Leisure Centre.
Results: Callum Bailey (15 yrs) 400m IM 5:29.09 (4th), 1500m Freestyle 19:08.76 (6th); Finleigh Dukes (13 yrs) 400m IM 5:19.29 (1st), 800m Freestyle 9:35.48 (2nd); Charlotte Petley (13 yrs) 400m IM 6:02.97 (10th), 800m Freestyle 10:36.83; Leah Smith (12 yrs) 400m Freestyle 5:22.23 (9th), 800m Freestyle 10:56.22; Alex Babenko (12 yrs) 400m Freestyle 5:22.99, 800m Freestyle 11:15.55; Samuel Templeton (11 yrs) 1500m Freestyle 20:09.03 (2nd) and Georgiana Templeton (10 yrs) 800m Freestyle 13:32.04 (5th).
