The black and orange of Skegness and District Running Club was in very good attendance with more than 25 members taking part, many clocking personal bests.

It was an excellent race, well organised and welcoming to both seasoned runners and those taking part in their first distance race.

* A beautiful morning greeted the runners who ran the annual 10-mile road race at the Heckington Show.

Five members from Skegness and District took part with Kirton’s John Burton the first club runner back in 1hr 14mins, followed by Phil Pickwell, from Boston.

Odette Arundell just pipped team-mate Catriona Kiss across the finish line for the ladies, having run the race alongside each other, with Roberto Rocci putting a good show in after coming back from a long lay-off.
