Over 20 primary and secondary schools were represented on the night, with children aged 4 to 17 awarded.

Parents and children also took part in a ‘crazy catch’ competition on stage with Tommy Harrison and Leo Stockdale winning.

Tony McManus told the Guardian: “It was a fantastic night, I left feeling very emotional and gumbled by all the kind words, comments and support, and I look forward to continuing to support children and parents for many more years to come.”
