The event, which caters for up to 200 pupils per day, is co-ordinated by Lincolnshire Sport to encourage more young people to try new sports and activities.

Primary schools can choose from three sporting packages; athletics, ball sports and striking – with up to seven activities per package.

Lucy Blakey, children and young people officer at Lincolnshire Sport, said: “Our School Sport Challenge events incorporate a variety of inclusive activities and sports which are suitable for every pupil as an intra-school sport challenge.

“It’s a great way for primary schools to utilise some of their Primary School Sports Premium funding by encouraging the whole school to try new sports or activities in a fun and relaxed environment, whilst also learning about the School Games competition.”

Sessions are delivered by fully trained young leaders from Lincoln College, and pupils will all receive a bronze, silver or gold certificate at the end of the day.

Schools also have the option to raise funds for the school during the challenge.
