St Michael's School, Louth, land swimming titles

Louth swimmers helped their school to an area title double after a consistent performance at the Aquasplash Swimming Gala last week.

St Michael’s School were crowned Wolds champions in both the Year 3 and 4, and Year 5 and 6 team events as the primary school’s year of sporting success rolled on.

The Year 3 and 4 team dominated their event, claiming victory in six out of the nine races, including the medley and freestyle relay double.

They only once finished outside of the top two to head the overall table from runners-up Lacey Gardens.

Market Rasen were tied for third place with Grimoldby, and Kidgate finished fifth.

There were five wins for St Michael’s Year 5 and 6 team who also chalked up nine second-place finishes to see them beat Kidgate to the top prize.

Lacey Gardens came home in third ahead of fourth-placed Market Rasen and Grimoldby in fifth.

The event was organised and run by the Wolds School Sport Partnership.
