Street go down after last league match

A win for Stanley Street would condemn Adders’ club colleagues Ryton Park Bees to Division Two for next season.

The Adders, who had hit a rich vein of form in the last few weeks in the league and the Mike Tunningley Shield, continued that form into their final league game of the campaign.

Andy Lee and Mike Nocivelli again hit top form in registering comfortable hat-tricks with John Hallgarth adding a further two wins to ensure an 8-2 win for the Adders.

The result meant misery for Stanley Street as they were relegated to Division Two with only a single win for Peter Eyre over Hallgarth and the doubles being the consolation.

Stanley Street have had a very difficult season dealing with the sad death of one of their players Tommy Dove and injury to Nigel Stent.

In Division Three Centre For Sport and DTH Redlands Dynamos met in both their final matches of their debut seasons and both can be pleased with the progress they have made since last September.

Kash Tutter was the main man for the Dynamos completing an impressive hat-trick winning all of his three matches without too much trouble in straight sets.

He was well supported by brothers Nathan and Regan Langley who both won two games each and then the youngsters teamed up in the doubles but went down in a five set thriller against Declan Wilson and Sarah Thompson to complete a 7-3 win for the Dynamos.

Glenn Gilgrass beat both Langley brothers to complete the scoring for Sport and both teams can give themselves a big pat on the back for not only improving week in week out bit for also playing their matches with a fabulous attitude.

Division One Champions DTH Redlands Fluffy Toys made the final of the Diamond Premier Handicap Trophy without having to even lift a bat as once again Zygabytes A disappointingly decided to concede a cup match rather than actually play it.

The final will be between Fluffy Toys and club colleagues Roosters with a date to be announced.
