Table tennis president dishes out the awards at season bash

The Gainsborough and District Table Tennis League’s annual presentation evening was at United Services Club, with president David Green dishing out the awards.

Player Ella Neal presented flowers to the president’s wife Linda on behalf of the league.

Trophies presented: The Eddie Pearson Trophy: Tom Lovely; Junior Singles: Steve Johnson; Veterans Singles: Nigel Keal; Handicap Singles: Tom Lovely; The Cliff Padley Trophy: Mark Ayris; Draw Doubles: Steve Johnson and Gary Adlington; Individual Singles: Clive Mitchell; Most Sporting Player: Dave Shelley; Ron Lambert Trophy: Mark Longstaff; Jack Jarvis Trophy: Ken Eliot; Gary Brewin Trophy: Norman Slater (chairman); President’s Cup: Paul Johnson; The Pumfrey Shield Methodist Batmen; The Horsley ShieldBlitz Aardvarks; Calcutta Cup Willingham Wizards.

The league secretary expressed his thanks to all who had taken part in the league and to Dave Brumpton, Ken Eliot and Phill Dixon for their continued help and support.

The 2013 summer season starts on Thursday 9th May at the Liberal Club on Ropery Road at 7.30pm.
