Anna Wilkinson won bronze in the ladies’ yellow belt sparring and Joe McKenna (11) carried home a silver in the boys’ green belt flying kicks.

There was also success for several from the club’s Tigers class, with boys and girls as young as five years competing in a special separate discipline and bringing home five medals for the club.

All the members train at the town club, under the guidance of sixth degree black-belt Jill Pearce, which meets every Tuesday and Thursday at Carre’s Grammar School and Northgate Sports Hall.
