The senior teams enjoyed a solid winter season with the Men’s First team in third place in Division One and the Men’s Third team runners-up in Division Two of the league.

The Ladies’ Seconds also finished near the top of Division Two.

In the National Knockout competition, Boston Ladies were in action at Beccles Tennis Club.

For Jenny McGarel, Margaret Wright, Jenny Murphy and Mary Smura, this was the second time in three years the team had drawn this away fixture.

The result was similar to before and once again the team lost, this time 1-3 as their hosts proved too strong yet again.

The mini teams have had success in the Lincolnshire Slazenger Mini Tennis Indoor Leagues.

These are played over the winter months and concluded on Saturday.

Each age group – red, orange and green – eight and under, nine and under and 10 and under – was won by a Boston team.
