Trevor gets 100-mile time trial award

On Saturday Gainsborough Aegir Cycling Club riders Trevor Halstead, Paul Reynolds, Samantha Jubbs, Mark Clark, Matt Hindmarsh, Liam Hindmarsh (12) and Ray Newton attended the Lincs Road Riding Association Prize Presentation dinner held at The Solo Club in Sleaford.

After Paul Reynolds had toasted Lincs cycling, Trevor Halstead (53) was awarded the Harry Marks Rose Bowl for 1st Handicap 100-mile time trial.

He was also first on handicap in the 12-hour time trial.

He completed 25, 50 and 100-mile time trials, also the 12-hour time trial, finishing third in the Best All Rounder Competition.

His average speed was 17.820 miles pe hour.

Trevor was also placed third in the Veterans Best All Round Competition.

On Sunday the club are holding reliability rides of 20 miles, 50k or 50 miles starting at 9am from 21 Portland Terrace, Gainsborough.
