Trinity beat Town Colts

JACK KALSON LEAGUE

Epworth Town Colts U14s 1

Gainsborough Trinity U14s 2

TRINITY U14s were back in action at the weekend with an away game at Epworth and found themselves up against a different Epworth Town Colts team than earlier in the season.

Trinity took the lead after 20 minutes when Aaron Dixey broke down the left wing and fired a superb cross that found the in-form forward Brandon Scrimshaw who calmly headed home.

But Epworth kept going and their efforts paid off when they found the equaliser just before half-time.

Trinity started the second half the brighter of the two sides and with Corey Drummond now back in his forward role the young Gainsborough side started to put the Colts’ back four under pressure, and when Dixey was fouled in the 18-yard box, Scrimshaw stepped up and neatly slotted home the spot kick to give Trinity the winner.
