Trio of events

Bassetlaw orienteers were competing in three different venues last weekend.

Will Parkinson travelled to Edinburgh to run in the British Schools Championships and returned with a very creditable seventh place.

Tom and John Cooley came an encouraging third and fourth place respectively at the Lincoln Winter League event at Washingborough and the Ridgway family along with Graeme Huggan travelled Calke Park to compete in the East Midlands League event.

Next weekend sees two Bassetlaw juniors joining the Regional Squad Training Weekend at Hawkshead in the Lake District.

More locally, the orienteering action is a Burbage Rocks in Derbyshire, where there is a regional event.
