Trophy exit for Beckingham at the hands of Marshalls A

Beckingham’s Gainsborough Standard Bowls League team exited the Rotary Millenium Trophy at the hands of Marshalls A.

Beckingham won two of the four rinks, but lost out on aggregate shots.

In their league fixture two days earlier Beckingham came away from Scotter 2 with an 8-2 victory, winning on aggregate 100 shots to 47.

Both Beckingham Isle of Axholme League teams were in action on 25th June, with the Central Section players taking all six league points in a very good performance at Roses.

The Northern Section team were unable to continue their recent good form at Belton where they lost both rinks to go down 6-0.

The I of A Evening League fixture at Epworth on 28th June was postponed due to the weather, but the previous evening Beckingham’s John Foster had a good win in the league’s individual singles competition.

Due to all the club’s teams being involved in league and knockout matches, some of the club’s individual first round matches have not been completed.
