Victories for tennis teams

The team of Ray Frankish, Mike Burnett, James Newton and David Jones had a close match with Grantham, even though only one set was lost in this first division match.

In Division Two, Boston Men’s Thirds - Andy Clamp, John Gibson, David Makins and Terry Mastin - drew 2-2 at Louth Indoor Tennis Centre.

In the Boston and District Winter League, Boston A’s Sev Smura, Akhtar Pavaiz, Jacob Felipes and Billy Smith beat Boston E on countback.

Boston B’s David Makins, Andy Clamp, Richard Tupper and Chris Mepham lost 2.5-1.5 at Billinghay.

Boston D – Neil Lee, Carla Slade, Anish Pathak and David Dunlop - had a convincing win against Louth Tennis Club losing only one set in the process.

In the LTA National League Boston 14 and under Boy’s B team played Burton Waters B, Boston’s Charlie Pickwell and William Tawton being beaten.

In the Dunlop Lindum Lincolnshire Mini League, Boston’s nine and under B team saw George Skipworth and Neve Gibbons beaten by St James.
