Wheelers split into two groups

Last Sunday’s Retford and District Wheelers club run to Bilsthorpe attracted 16 riders.

The diversity of age and fitness saw the riders divided into two groups, the social riders and the younger more athletic riders.

The social riders took a route through Gamston, Walesby, Wellow, Eakring to Bilsthorpe and on to the Limes café for a refreshment break where the other groupe arrived about 10 minutes later having taken a more arduous hilly route, adding a further 10 miles to the 20 miles of the social riders.

The return route was direct back to Retford making a total of 40 or 50 miles dependant on which group you were in.

The club’s annual dinner and prize presentation is on Sunday 15th December at the Markham Moor Hotel, meeting at 4pm for 4.30pm sit down.

This is preceded by the annual Christmas five-mile fancy dress time trial starting at Sutton on Trent.

Please contact Paul Austin on 07973868231 to book a reservation for the dinner as soon as possible.
