First up for Bishop was the Barnsley Criterium , where he was joined in the team by Jono Dexter and Adam Turner.
A fast and furious start produced a high tempo event with many riders dropping off the back of the peloton very early on in the race.
Turner maintained position well, despite having a slight cold, with Bishop sitting comfortably in the main group, despite the short hilly course not being to his liking.
It looked as if the field would maintain it’s grouping at the front as more and more of the tail-enders were dropped off, and none of the early attacks managed to stay away, all of them being neutralized quickly on each occasion.
With five laps to go, Turner launched a fierce attack in an attempt to break the stalemate, and opened up a useful looking gap.
The peloton reacted, and Turner may have stayed away, but was pulled back in near the end, and had to settle for a finish in the main group, along with Bishop.
The team then moved on to Darley Moor where Dexter was replaced by Damien Shakespeare for the event.
All three riders put on a solid display to ensure another successful weekend of points scoring.
The competitors dealt with soaring temperatures in the afternoon race to put on a great show, with numerous attacks throughout.
It looked as if an early breakaway might stay away, until the fightback from the peloton pulled them back.
All three of the team riders turned up the pace on the front of the main bunch until finally the riders came back together.
Shakespeare worked especially hard midway through the race in an attempt to pull back the attacks.
The trio then worked together to create the optimum position for Turner in the final sprint,.
And this duly produced an impressive final dash to the line and fourth for Turner.
Team mate Bishop added to the points tally with a good 11th position, while Shakespeare placed well at 18th.
Turner and Shakespeare also went on to ride at a pre-Tour de France event, the Huddersfield Criterium, where the pair combined to secure a fifth-place overall finish for the team in difficult circumstances with the wet conditions making the course slippery and causing many riders to retire.
