Lincoln Hears Syria will feature various Lincolnshire music ensembles, including members of the University of Lincoln Orchestra, City of Lincoln Band, Lincoln Concert Orchestra and guests Sutton in Ashfield Choral Society.

The concert will include pieces by Mozart and Beethoven, songs such as The Rose and Amazing Grace, and a composition inspired by the tragic death of Alan Kurdi, the 3-year old boy who drowned on a beach back in September.

The concert starts at 1.10pm and is free to attend, with a retiring collection for UNICEF.

Normal admission charges to the cathedral apply (entrance gives a ticket which lasts 12 months).
