Circus regulars in Mablethorpe to make indoor stage debut during half-term
A staple entertainment attraction at Mablethorpe for the summer holiday season is to make its indoor stage debut during the school half-term next month.
Russells International Circus has been thrilling families with its spectacular shows in Mablethorpe for many years now.
Now it is to move indoors for the first time when switching to the Embassy Theatre in Skegness from Wednesday, February 18 to Saturday, February 21.
It marks a significant milestone and a landmark occasion for the vibrant Russells troupe as they transition from the big top to the stage.
Circus director Rusty Russell expressed his excitement, stating: “We are delighted to take our show to the Embassy Theatre.
"It’s a fantastic venue, and we have lined up a dazzling array of international artistes that will thrill audiences of all ages.
“The show will feature a captivating blend of acts, including sensational acrobats from Kenya, the hilariously funny Alex The Fireman with his acrobatic ladder act, dazzling aerialists and, of course, the beloved clowns.
"Audiences will also be introduced to David Marquez, a new clown from Mexico making his highly-anticipated debut.
“We have wanted David in our show for many years and are thrilled that he is joining us this season.”
Producer Alex Morley emphasised the challenge of translating the magic of the big top to a stage setting, saying: “We’ve invested a lot of preparation to ensure that the enchanting atmosphere of the circus is preserved.
"We’re incorporating the circus ring on to the stage and expanding it into the auditorium to create an immersive experience for the audience.”
Tickets for the circus can be bought online at embassytheatre.co.uk or in person at the Embassy Theatre box office. They cost £22 for adults, £15 for under-14s and £69 for a family ticket for four.
