Classical trio to perform Coldplay hits in 'magical' candle-lit church concert
A ‘magical’ candle-lit concert experience is in store for music lovers at Sleaford parish church.
Lumos Experiences will be performing A Coldplay Candlelight Experience on Saturday, July 11 at St Denys’ Church, Sleaford.
A live string trio performing classical renditions of Coldplay's most loved songs in an intimate, candlelit concert setting with tiered seating.
Lumos brings enchanting concert experiences paying homage to world famous artists, partnering with spectacular locations and churches across the UK to deliver magical concert experiences, with a donation made to a different charity each month. The trio’s set list is expected to include classics such as Clocks, Ever-glow, Paradise, Yellow, Magic, My universe, Fix you, Sky full of stars, The Scientist and Viva La Vida.
A spokesperson said: “At Lumos, we believe music should be more than just heard, it should be felt. Our candlelit concerts transform timeless classics and modern favourites into unforgettable live experiences. From Coldplay to Vivaldi, ABBA to Beyoncé, each show is designed to move hearts, spark memories, and create moments you’ll never forget.
“Every venue we choose is handpicked for its character, charm, and atmosphere. Whether it’s a grand theatre, a hidden gem, or a historic church, the glow of thousands of candles turns it into a place where music feels truly magical.
“Our mission goes beyond music. Each month, we support a charity whose work makes the world brighter, from protecting animals to tackling global challenges. By joining us, you’re not only experiencing something beautiful, but also helping us make a difference.
“We’re here to remind people of the power of live music, to connect, to heal, to bring joy. Because in the glow of candlelight, every note feels just a little more special.”
There will be two performances: 7–8pm and 9–10pm. For the first sitting doors open at 6.15pm, for the second sitting doors open at 8.30pm.
This event is for eight year olds and above.
