Coningsby concert for Phoenix Singers

Louth area-based ladies choir, The Phoenix Singers, will be bringing their mix of music to Coningsby for the first time this month.

Under the leadership of their musical director Gloria Bannister, the choir’s programme has something for all tastes.

This season, they have included some gospel, songs from the musicals, popular tunes and a tribute to Queen - the band, not Her Majesty.

The concert will be held at the United Methodist Church in Silver Street on Saturday, July 16, starting at 7.30pm.

It is hoped children from St Michael’s School will also be performing on the night.

Tickets cost £5 and will be available on the door.

Proceeds from the concert will be shared between the United Methodist Church and St Michael’s Church.
