Enjoy the '˜craic' with folk group

Sleaford band 'Julie McLelland & The Band From County Hell' are to play at a St Patrick's day event in Lincoln.

Tickets are already selling fast for ‘The Craic’- which takes place at the Drill Hall, in Lincoln, on Friday, March 18.

Sleaford-based Celtic/folk band The Band From County Hell, who won the public vote in 2015 as the best ‘new’ folk performers at The Great British Folk Festival, will headline the show.

Live gigs have seen them play from the smallest of venues to outside arenas and most notably their own show at The London Palladium. They have also appeared with bands such as The Levellers, The Stranglers and UB40, among others.

The band will play original music from their six critically-acclaimed albums - described as ‘classic Irish songs in their own upbeat style’.

Compère and comedian Chris Watson will keep the night running with his humour and banter.

Support band ‘Gone to the Dogs’ (whose line-up includes whistle, fiddle and acoustic guitar) will start the singing with some traditional Irish music.

Organisers also promise ‘the Guinness will be flowing at The Drill Hall bar’.
