From Lindisfarne to Faldingworth
Lindisfarne guitarists Rod Clements and Ian Thomson are the featured artists at Faldingworth Memorial Hall this Saturday, from 8pm.
Back in 1970, young Tyneside musician Rod Clements wrote a song called ‘Meet Me On The Corner’.
It became a top ten hit for his band Lindisfarne, paving the way for their many years of international success.
Rod wrote many more songs for the band, some of which will feature in the concert on January 23, where he will be accompanied by Ian Thomson from Lindisfarne on base.
Support comes from Gainsborough duo Stitherum, Sue and Mike Dewsbury.
Their set typically includes something silly, something sad, something soppy and something slightly saucy.
Tickets for the concert cost £10 and can be reserved from Andy Watkins on 01522 535770 or email: [email protected] .
