The village’s biggest event of the year took place on Saturday (October 17), bringing together a full day of celebration, community spirit, shopping and entertainment.
There were market stalls and heritage crafts, seasonal food and family entertainment.
Live entertainment went on all afternoon and into the evening after the opening ceremony and the crowning of the Ruler of the Feast, followed by the announcement of the children’s potato decorating competition winners from Metheringham Village Primary School. There was a magic show on the trailer stage, and a fun dog show in the village hall car park.
People could also browse the Village Archives to discover a little more about the village’s history, of which the feast has played such a part over the years.
