A love of the string fiddle and its musical possibilities brought two of Nashville’s top players together.

Rachel Baiman and Christian Sedelmyer’s mission statement was as clear as it was expansive: Two fiddles, two voices, epic music.

With Rachel also playing mandolin and banjo, 10 String Symphony creates a dynamic musical stew that covers a wide spectrum of acoustic based roots music, hitting on folk and bluegrass, delivered with a dash of rock and roll.

The duo’s sound is a new take on old ideas, a concept that is evident live and on CD, where timeless melody is underscored by beautiful harmonies and singing which complement each other perfectly.

10 String Symphony will playing the Kirton Lindsey venue this Friday, July 29.

Advance tickets cost £12 from One Stop (Kirton), Brian on 01652 649230, or www.wegottickets.com
