The leisure centres operated by Better in Sleaford and North Hykeham, the Northgate Sports Hall and Better Gym Sleaford are all closed until further notice.

This is a further measure being taken in order to protect customers and staff and control the spread of the Covid-19 virus, in line with the Prime Minister’s updated statement on Friday.

Better has frozen membership fees for the gyms and leisure centres and is developing ways to continue enthusing and engaging users in physical activity through its websites and social media accounts.

Whisby Natural World Centre, the National Centre for Craft and Design and the Terry O’Toole Theatre have closed too, which is a joint decision made by the District Council and its contract operators Better and LincsInspire in response to the need to control Covid-19.

Despite its closure the NCCD is finding creative ways to engage people in crafty ways, setting up a new Facebook group to share activities and resources that will keep you creative over the coming weeks and months, join them on NCCD Family & Community.

Parkruns, which happen weekly in Sleaford and Doddington are also suspended.

Lincolnshire’s libraries have also taken the decision to close as of this morning (Monday).
