At Winchelsea Primary School in Ruskington pupils dressed up as book characters and had fun with book based activities, including making biscuits, writing reviews and making pop-up books.

Head teacher Helen Duckett added: “We also had a competition at lunchtime for Where’s Wally which was hidden in the children’s chocolate pudding slices. Two lucky finders received a cookery book all about baking bread kindly provided by the Farm Kitchen from Ewerby who are our hot meal provider.”

Dressing up at St Gilbert of Sempringham Primary School in Pointon saw lots of Elsas, Princesses, Harrys, Hermiones and superheroes.
