Under the conductorship of Paul Emmett, the band chose a varied musical programme concluding with a Prom style finale with flag waving.
All funds raised will go to the Poppy Appeal and help the Royal British Legion to continue its work in supporting those currently serving, their families and ex-service community.
They also welcomed two Chelsea Pensioners to the performance on .
Club president, Major Clive Candlin said it was a great night, although numbers were a little affected by the stormy weather.
Nevertheless, he said it was a good turnout. “Everyone I spoke to said how much they had enjoyed the evening. We had hired the services of Becky Taylor, a brilliant young violinist from the Lincoln Orchestra, who played the theme from Schindler's List, a haunting piece of music that she played beautifully.”
The raffle raised £472 and they expect to have over £3,000 for the Poppy Appeal.
Clive showed the two Chelsea Pensioners around the area before returning to London and they said they had a wonderful time.
He added: “I have organised these concerts every year, except 2020, for the last 15 years and have decided that it is time to step aside and let someone else put their mark on it.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed it.”
