Festive cheer at hotel's Christmas show

The Crown Hotel Christmas Show was a mix of classic festive music, dance, readings and comedy

It was produced and directed by Doug Smith and Peter Welstead.

The room at the hotel was packed for the performance, with the audience joining in some singing and clapping along.

A highlight was Twelve Days of Christmas, which saw two of the singers attempting to act out the individual gifts with hilarious consequences.

There should also be a special mention to two young performers who shone in spite of technical issues and hopefully now know how much the public appreciated them and were cheering them on.

Steve Kent, a member of the team, was delighted with the turnout and said: "Many thanks for coming to the show. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year."
