‘Make or break’ scooter rally hailed a success as organisers thank supporters in Skegness

Scooters, live music and entertainment once again filled the resort, with the main hub of activity at The Suncastle on North Parade and additional events taking place at venues across town.

The rally drew steady crowds throughout the weekend, with organisers previously highlighting Saturday as a standout day thanks to favourable weather and a strong turnout.

In a post-event message, organisers said the future of the rally had been uncertain heading into this year.

They said: “This really was make or break year for us as to whether we could keep going but thankfully you all came and the weather gods were on our side too.”

The weekend featured a packed programme including live performances from The Odels, Porkpie, The Hornets, Tann-I Browne, The 5:15’s and The Signatures, alongside DJs, a custom scooter show and a popular ride-in event.

Visitors also enjoyed a soul room and silent disco at The Suncastle, as well as the Reggae Train at The Savoy.

Organisers acknowledged there were some minor technical issues during Saturday night, particularly with sound, but praised the bands for continuing their performances.

They said: “As with all events, things don’t always go according to plan and we did have some sound issues Saturday night, but the talented bands played on and were still amazing.”

Despite this, they said the overall atmosphere exceeded expectations, with strong community support throughout.

They added: “Everything else was above and beyond what we could have expected – the atmosphere was amazing all weekend.”

Organisers Dean and Tracey also thanked attendees for their continued support and encouraged people to share photos from the event.

They said: “The biggest thank you as always goes to all of you who support what we do, allowing us to carry on – so we’ll see you all again next year.”

The rally is expected to return to Skegness in 2027.
