TV celebrity to make an appearance at popular Lincolnshire carnival
A packed programme of fun will keep crowds entertained when a popular summer event returns to Lincolnshire this month.
Sutton on Sea and Trusthorpe Carnival will bring a colourful parade to the streets – with a host of entertainment throughout the day.
The event takes place on Sunday, July 26, from 11am-4pm, where visitors can marvel at a variety of street performers, stalls, fun and games, live music, children’s rides, vintage vehicles, and more.
This year’s carnival will feature celebrity guest Timmy Mallett – a presenter and artist best known for his work on kids’ TV in the 1980s and ‘90s, along with appearances on ITV’s I’m a Celebrity.

Timmy will take to the stage at around 1pm performing his hit cover of Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini – which reached number 1 in the UK singles chart in 1990. He will also host a few rounds of his signature ‘Mallett’s Mallet’ game.
This year the carnival has been given the theme ‘once upon a time” – with the grand parade taking inspiration from classic storytelling. The parade will set off from Park Road in Sutton on Sea at 3pm, making its way down Trusthorpe Road, High Street and Station Road, before finishing at Broadway. Road closures will be in place.
Stuart Martin, chairman of the Carnival committee and secretary Diane Martin said: “Join us for a fantastic day of family fun, live entertainment, colourful characters and unforgettable performances.
"Dress up as your favourite fairytale character and join us for a magical day. We can’t wait to welcome you to the biggest fairy tale of the summer!”
