From now until April 22, the library is running a competition for five to 11-year-olds to find out where Wally has visited on his recent travels to London.

There is also a Where’s Wally trail for under fours to see how many Wally’s they can find around the library.

Karen Waring, Market Rasen Library manager, for GLL, said: “We couldn’t let the anniversary pass without celebrating the international character that dresses in the distinctive red-and-white-striped shirt, bobble hat, and glasses.

“The winner of the competition will receive a wonderful anniversary edition of the book that kick-started a global phenomenon 30 years ago and got the whole world asking Where’s Wally?”

The library is also holding a Where’s Wally Easter Eggstravaganza in homage to the character on next Wednesday, April 5.

Make Wally style eggs and chocolate Wally treats.

Take a selfie in the Where’s Wally Photo Booth or try your hand at the Where’s Wally brain teasers.
