A brace of podiums for Kyle Jenkins at Cadwell
Jeknins makes successful step up on new bike
Kyle Jenkins rode to a brace of second places at Cadwell Park where he was racing on his new bike with the Bemsee Club in the MRO Supersport 600 class at the weekend.

Jenkins, from Ruskington near Sleaford, has made the step up into the Supersport class with a new sponsor and also new machinery.
He said: “I have a new sponsor, RJS Superbike Performance and also a change of bike.
“I rode a Triumph765 Moto 2 at Cadwell for the first time this weekend and I am really pleased with the new bike.
“This class is a huge step up for me, but I am finding I can run with the leaders which I didn’t expect first time out.
“A huge thank you to RJS Superbike – none of this would have been possible without their support.
“Despite having very little time on the bike, I headed out for qualifying and managed to put it up into fourth place, just 0.8 seconds off pole, which I was super happy with that.”
Starting the first of three races from the head of the second row Jenkins was quick away and held third place on the opening lap.
He engaged in a fierce battle with Sam Hirst and on lap six of 10 he secured second place.
But with just four laps remaining it was too late to catch Anthony Johnson, who was nearly five seconds up the road, and he completed the race in a strong second place for his first podium finish in the class.

Race two didn’t quite go to plan as he took a chance on a used rear tyre.
Jenkins explained: “That didn’t go as planned as the tyre only lasted two laps, but I think proved I can live up the front especially when the bike is set up properly as well.”
Starting the final race from the middle of the second row Jenkins was keen to prove himself and passed Rhys Forrest on the second lap to take up second position.
He was posting lap times just a 10th away from the leader, but Johnson had the edge and began to pull away, leaving Jenkins to once again bring the bike home in second place, over seven seconds ahead of Hirst, who was running in third place.
The next round is at Snetterton in Norfolk over the weekend of 27th-28th June.
