June is here! Celebrate the official start of summer at Gainsborough's Marshall’s Yard
Father’s Day tractors event returns to Gainsborough’s Marshall’s Yard
June has arrived, bringing with it warmer weather (hopefully!) and plenty of summer fun.

From sunny shopping trips to catch-ups over coffee, Marshall’s Yard has everything you need to welcome the season in style.
The popular Independent Quarter Market returns on Saturday June 6th from 10am–3pm. Visitors can browse a fantastic selection of independent stalls featuring handmade crafts, unique gifts and delicious, sweet treats. It’s the perfect opportunity to support local makers while enjoying the lively atmosphere around the centre.
The official start of summer arrives with the Summer Solstice on June 21st and this year, the date also falls on Father’s Day. To celebrate, Marshall’s Yard has planned a packed day of family-friendly entertainment and activities.

The much-loved Father’s Day Tractors event returns from 10am–4pm, offering a fun-filled day out for visitors of all ages. Families are invited to bring along dads, grandads and father figures to enjoy a tractor-themed celebration at the centre.
Visitors will have the chance to get up close to more than 20 original Marshall tractors and steam engines on display, celebrating both Father’s Day and Gainsborough’s engineering heritage. Alongside the exhibition, families can enjoy a range of free activities throughout the day, including face painting, tractor-themed crafts and an interactive tractor scavenger hunt. There will also be a variety of food vendors serving tasty treats and refreshments.
