Market Rasen Racecourse: Preview and tips for Thursday’s six-race meeting
Spotlight on top tips for evening of summer jumping
Market Rasen Racecourse stages further summer jumping at Market Rasen tonight (Thursday), with six races on the card; four over hurdles and two over fences.

Here is a preview of and tips for the card, brought to you by BOYLE Sports, who have all the horse racing odds.
We begin with a maiden hurdle run over two and a quarter miles (18.00).
Wahraan is tried back over hurdles for the first time since a heavy defeat in Grade Two novice company at Haydock in January, but has been running okay on the Flat since.
Prince Abu could improve for the addition of first-time cheekpieces, while Bailey’s Luck is tried under this code for the first time.
Jessie Jump Jet looks to bring the best form and could be in winnable company this time.
Next, we have a two and three quarter mile handicap chase (18.30).
El Muchacho is a consistent sort who looks likely to make another good show of himself, while Livano Bellow looks more kindly weighted and therefore could be competitive.
Play By The Rules was brought down last time but had previously been going well, so could have a nice each-way chance.
Race three is a two and a half mile mares’ handicap hurdle (19.00).
Philip Kirby’s Lone Star has been producing some good runs lately and could go well on this occasion too, sitting on a nicely competitive handicap mark.
Parish Star also looks interesting after a close third last time out on good ground at Hexham.
A two and a half mile handicap hurdle follows (19.32).
Fergal O’Brien’s Snatch A Glance could be on a workable mark now, having come down two pounds since last time, while High Dancer could be a good option on the better ground, which can get a good result from him.
He has first time cheekpieces here, is coming back from a short break, and runs for the in-form Nicky Richards.
Second to last is a novices’ handicap chase run over two miles and a furlong (20.07).
Walk The Plank was a winner last time out at Huntingdon and may go well again, while Lheur De Gloire makes some appeal now down to a tempting mark, having finished fourth of 13 last time at Southwell.
Running for Ben Pauling, whose horses are in good shape, he could be the winner here.
Finally, we conclude with a two-mile handicap hurdle (20.42).
Ruler Legend seeks a hat-trick, having won his latest two starts at this track, but he is significantly higher in the weights this time.
Paragon could be on a workable mark now, in the capable hands of Paul O’Brien, while Bunker Bay goes well at this track too and could be in with a chance of at least placing.
