Market Rasen Rotary appoints two new 'Friends of Rotary'

Two new additions have been added to the Market Rasen Rotary family. Both have been appointed as Friends of Rotary. The primary role of the Friends of Rotary is to provide an avenue of participation (without membership) to people who may not wish to join the club as a full member, but who nevertheless would like to help promote the Rotary ideals in our community and have a link to our club.

As a Friend, they uphold the principles of Rotary - Fellowship, Service, Leadership, Diversity, and Integrity. They use their skills to support Mkt Rasen Rotary and are invited to attend social and official functions run by Rotary. They assist in fund raising and volunteering.

The two new additions are Anne Lewis, widow of the late Richard Lewis, a long time stalwart and multiple time Past President of Rasen Rotary, and Abigail Stimpson, daughter of past and future Rotary President, Malcolm Stimpson.

Both appointees are welcomed and have been of great assistance for some time, Anne assisting with catering at events and general support in many activities, and Abi assembling goods to go to Ukraine, also catering and helping with TWAM collections.

Market Rasen Rotary already has a corporate Friends of Rotary category, with Caistor and Rasen Coops, Rasen Tesco, the Rasen Library and the Rasen Leisure Centre, 'Everyone Active', all playing a wonderful supporting role to the work of Rotary in the local and also the International community.
