New darts room opens at Lakeside Park with augmented reality and classic play
A new leisure attraction has opened at Don Amotts Lakeside Park (located in North Somercotes, near Louth), giving guests a fresh activity option with the launch of a dedicated darts room designed for both modern interactive play and traditional competition.

The facility, located close to Toast Café and Supplies, is now open and available to holiday home owners and visitors. It brings together two distinct ways to play darts under one roof, with a technology-led augmented reality system alongside classic dartboards for a more traditional experience.
The augmented reality darts setup offers a more immersive version of the game, using tracking technology and on-screen visuals to create interactive scoring formats and themed challenges. Players can choose from a selection of game modes designed for groups, making it suitable for families, friends, and social gatherings.

To use the system, guests book and pay at either the Tropicana Complex or The Waterfront Club, where they are issued with an access code to activate their session. Once inside, players select their preferred game and prepare their darts using a magnetic system before starting play. Each session is timed, with an on-screen countdown helping groups keep track of their allocated slot. The experience is priced at £25 per hour for up to eight players, with a refundable deposit required.
Alongside the digital experience, the room also includes two traditional dartboards for those who prefer a more familiar format. These are free to use, with a maximum of four players per board. Guests can bring their own darts or hire equipment with a refundable deposit. Booking for both formats is managed through the same on-park locations.
Certain rules apply within the facility, including a restriction on unaccompanied under 18s and a requirement that all sessions are booked in advance.
The addition forms part of ongoing leisure development at Lakeside Park, which operates under Don Amott Parks and holds a Visit England 5 Star Gold rating. The organisation continues to expand on-park amenities across its Lincolnshire locations, focusing on entertainment, family activities and shared facilities for owners.

With its mix of modern gaming technology and traditional sport, the new darts room is intended to broaden the range of indoor leisure options available on the park, particularly during quieter or weather-affected periods.
