Citizens Advice Mid Lincolnshire, who provide free, confidential, independent and impartial advice to all residents in Boston Borough and North Kesteven, set up the Baby Bliss project during September 2025.

Baby Bliss aims to alleviate the effects of child poverty, while reducing waste and encouraging families to re-gift items they no longer need. Items such as nappies, clothes, buggies and highchairs are given for free to struggling families who have a baby aged 0-3 years.

In addition to receiving support to access baby items, Citizens Advice Mid Lincolnshire offers assistance to help resolve the root cause of the family's financial hardship. The advisers are able to assist families with maternity rights budgeting, benefit applications and grant searches.

You can support the Baby Bliss project by shopping at Tesco in Boston.  Each time that you shop, you will be given a blue token to use to vote for your chosen project via a voting unit.  There will be three good causes to choose from - the one that receives the highest number of votes will be given a donation of £1500!

If successful, Citizens Advice Mid Lincolnshire will use the donation to purchase essential items such as nappies, wipes and essential baby toiletries.

Louise Buckingham, CEO of Citizens Advice Mid Lincolnshire said “Unfortunately this is a service that is desperately needed in our community.  We are seeing families who are really struggling to make ends meet and don’t have the money to afford the basic items that they need for their baby.  We are here to rectify this situation and hope to assist as many families as possible.
