Lincolnshire writer releases new book on loss, society, and living fully again

Ruskington author Kevin B. Forbes has released a powerful new book, Grief Through Life’s Seasons, offering readers an honest and compassionate exploration of life after loss.

Following the death of his wife and lifelong companion of 38 years, Mr Forbes reflects on the emotional, social, and philosophical realities of grief.

Through personal insight and lived experience, the book speaks directly to anyone who has struggled to rebuild life after bereavement and make sense of the new realities that follow profound loss.

Rather than presenting grief as something to “overcome,” Grief Through Life’s Seasons acknowledges the ongoing nature of loss while gently encouraging readers to rediscover meaning, resilience, and hope.

Kevin B. Forbes lived in Harlow, Essex, and is also the author of the autobiographical work The Life, The Times, and The Adventures of Kevin Forbes, available through the archives of the Harlow Museum.

He added: “My previous book The life, The Times and Adventures of Kevin Forbes, was accepted by the British Library and now has copies installed in all six of the country’s main libraries including Cambridge and Oxford universities together with Harlow Museum.”

This new relatable book will resonate with readers experiencing bereavement, supporting loved ones through grief, or simply seeking a thoughtful reflection on the enduring strength of human connection.

Mr Forbes said: “After experiencing and living as a ‘new widower’ for over two years and working with the many groups and people in the same position. I was encouraged by many to write this work, which is dedicated to my late beloved wife Carol.”

The book will be available on popular web sites and all monies raised will go to charities.
