Afterwards, members spent time making their own decorations with a variety of effects.

The next meeting will be on December 1, when there will be a Christmas social in the Methodist Chapel hall, with a secret Santa.

Members should arrive at 6pm for a 6.30pm start.

Wreath making - Two Christmas wreath-making classes are being held at the arts and heritage centre.

The first is on Saturday, November 26, and the second is on Wednesday, December 7, both from 10.30am to 3.30pm.

Take along secateurs and gardening gloves, plus tinsel and bells to decorate the wreaths.

The cost is £30. To book, call the centre on 01472 851605.
