Council urges motorists to help cut queueing as Boston McDonald's reopens for drive throughs

Boston's McDonalds is due to open today for drive-through orders - and the council has urged motorists to help avoid queues causing congestion.

The town's branch of the fast food giant is due to open from 11am for drive-thorugh orders only with a limited menu.

There have been reports of huge queues as other branches of the chain have opened around the country this week.

And in a message on its Twitter feed this morning, Boston Council said: "If you’ve been missing your Big Mac, you’ll be excited that Boston McDonald’s is now open for drive-through.

"Please help the traffic to keep moving and if there’s a queue, come back when it’s not so busy."

McDonald's is planning to have all its outlets open for business by the end of the week for drive-through only, with a reduced menu.
